Congratulations to Dr. T.A.R.J. Gunasekara, Assistant Director General (Research, Planning and Development) won the 2nd prize in the British Educational Leadership, Management and Administration Society (BELMAS) Award for the best thesis of 2005.

Dr. Jayanthi Gunasekara was awarded her Ph.D. in October 2004 for her thesis, 'Do we obtain all the potential benefits from aid-funded education projects. An analysis of the impact of major aid-funded education projects on improving the quality of general education in Sri Lanka during the past two decades'. Her supervisor was Professor Rosalind Levacic, Bedford Group for Lifecourse and Statistical Studies. (Institute of Education, University of London).
